Author Guidelines

General

  1. All manuscripts must be submitted online to Indonesian Law Journal at https://ejournal.bphn.go.id/index.php/ILJ. Please Login or Register as an Author, read all the instructions to make a submission. If authors have any problems with the online submission, please contact Editorial Team Indonesian Law Journal at the following email indonesianlawjournal@gmail.com to ask supporting helps.
  2. Accepted manuscripts must be in law field and should be written in English. The authors who are not native speakers of English need to seek the assistance of a native speaker to proofread their manuscripts before submitting them to the Editorial Team.
  3. Submitted manuscripts should be in law field with particular topics as requested and have not been published elsewhere.
  4. Submitted manuscripts are going through peer review process. The results of the review will provide consideration to decide whether the manuscripts should be accepted, revised, or rejected by the Editorial Boards. Submissions may be returned to authors that do not follow these guidelines.
  5. Submitted manuscripts should be in form of
  • Original Research Articles;
  • Literature/Book Review; and
  • Case studies.

 

Review Policy

Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by Editorial Board and Reviewer at least two scientists who are experts and familiar with the relevant topic. All manuscripts are subjected to double-blind peer-review, both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

 

Open Access Policy

Indonesian Law Journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Paper Format

  1. Manuscripts should be in soft copy in the form of Microsoft Word (.doc)/(.docx).
  2. Manuscripts are written in A4 paper with top and bottom margin should be 3 cm, left and right margin should be 2,5 cm.
  3. Manuscripts should be minimum in 15 pages long, including abstract, footnotes, bibliography and the CV of author.
  4. The sequence of manuscripts following: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Research Method; Discussion;Conclusion; Bibliography; and Author’s CV.

 

Main Headings of Manuscripts

Submitted Article may be divided into sections, subsections, and sub-subsections.

  • Title of manuscript should be concise and specific which describes the content of the article comprehensively and unambigously. It is written with Arial (14pt, UPPER CASE, bold, and center text) and preferably no more than 14 words.
  • Name of Author(s) should be typed below the title in full name without any qualifications. Authors’ Affiliation is only be written with name of Department, Institution, and Country.
  • Abstract should be clear and concisely describes the background, the issue, the method, conclusion and recommendation in one paragraph. Total words used is no more than 150 words. It is typed using Arial (12pt) 1 space and justify. Abbreviations must be spelled out.
  • Keywords arranged by alphabetically and should have at least 3 words and maximum 5 words seperated by semicolon (;).
  • Introduction presents the description of the background and the issue discussed in the manuscript. The problem identification of the issue should be written in statement and without numbering.
  • Research Method presents about how the research be done.
  • Discussion contains the analysis of the issue. Items of discussion should be adjusted to the number of discussed issues.
  • Conclusion should describe the overall, clear and concise conclussion and recommendation.
  • Bibliography should be classified based on the types of references used in the manuscript, for example; Book, Paper/Article/Proceeding/Research Result Paper, Internet, and Regulations. It should be in alphabetical order, use The Chicago Manual of Style as reference.
  • The Curriculum Vitae of Authors should be written in paragraph, not more that 1 page long and mention the name, latest education background, organization/office, professional background, and scientific works/manuscripts.
  • Footnotes is typed in Cambria (10pt) with 1 spacing. Use The Chicago Manual of Style as reference.
  • Figures/Graphics should be clearly readable and have good resolution for printing at least 300 DPI. The caption should be typed bellow the illustration in Arial (12pt) and left justified.
  • Table made without the vertical lines and the caption appears above the table in Arial (12pt) and left justified. Reference or explanation should be below the associated table/figure, typed left indent, Arial (10pt).

 

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are not allowed. The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works. If the authors have used the work of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted. Editorial Team will check submitted manuscript by using Turnitin app. If it was found plagiarism indication, the editorial board will reject the manuscript immediately.
